Week 61 - 14 meses (?!) y tender mercies!

October 16, 2018

Familia y amiguitos!

This week has been really good! A bit of a challenge with the whitewash and all, but Hermana Gallion and I get along super well and are seeing tender mercies from the Lord everywhere we go. Like just last night a man pulled over to saludarnos and told us he had gotten baptized in another city when he was younger and wanted to show the missionaries to his 9 year old daughter who was in the car and who is ADORABLE! We talked and they showed us pictures of their camping trip in the Cordillera that they were getting home from and we set up an appointment for Thursday. It was one of those moments where God literally gave us one of his children to help. I was also one of those moments where after we could see how we were following the spirit and had no idea that we were- not knowing before hand! Just moments earlier we ran to the apartment to grab a paper we needed and I forgot something important 3 times! If I hadn't forgotten anything we wouldn't have been exactly where we needed to be to talk to Rodolfo and Agustiana. Tender mercies!

We are going through the carpeta de area and trying to contact the amigos from the elders and the futuros that they had and it's just a little hard to find them. But slowly and surely we are seeing progress, poco a poco. We are also working on trying to get to know the ward a bit better- we printed out a directory (which we didn't have before) and find out who is less active. The members we've met here are amazing and are really willing to help.

This week I had a really spiritual experience reading Mormon chapters 5-9 this week. I encourage you all to read it and how it relates to you in your life. Think about the sacrifice made so that we can have the marvelous word of God in the Book of Mormon and how much worth it has in your life. Try to put yourself in Mormon's shoes and how he felt seeing all of this happen to his people that he loved and seeing what is going to happen in these last days. What can we change to become the humble people of God that is so much needed in these last days? Please read it with sincere heart and I promise God will speak to you through the spirit in your study!

Love and miss you all! Thank you for your examples and encouragement. I know that this is true and I know that there is no better or more important work to be involved in! We each have something valuable to contribute, yes, each and every one of us! Have a lovely week!!

abrazos! besitos!
